The Hard Copy Archive is a new online library of gay adult magazines published before 2005. As print becomes less available and as image-sharing platforms become increasingly hostile to adult content, we felt it was important to create an independent online space to preserve and celebrate these defunct magazines before they disappear forever. We believe in their artistry as well as their importance as historical documents of gay culture.
To create the archive we are slowly sourcing magazines to scan and share on this site. However to truly make it special, we hope to welcome as many contributions from the community as possible. This archive is self-funded and maintained through our passion for the cause, so any contributions are really welcome.
